Our Advisory Board, Steering Committee and Senior Fellows provide us with organizational guidance and advice.

Advisory Board

The ¹ÏÌïºÚÁÏAdvisory Board is our board of directors. The generous commitment of Advisory Board members allows ¹ÏÌïºÚÁÏto carry out its work effectively and is critical to our success. Members offer their time, thought, and financial support. The Executive Committee of the Board oversees our goals and long-range plans.

Steering Committee

The ¹ÏÌïºÚÁÏSteering Committee, composed of faculty from throughout Stanford, advises our director and guide us on research and academic matters. Committee members have broad experience in economic policy. Many of them have served as officials or advisers in local, state, and federal government, as well as foreign governments and NGOs. The Steering Committee includes former chairmen of the Council of Economic Advisers in the Clinton and both Bush administrations, and senior officials in the U.S. Justice and Labor Departments, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the World Bank, the Federal Communications Commission, and the Federal Trade Commission.

Senior Fellows

¹ÏÌïºÚÁÏSenior Fellows are members of Stanford’s academic council who actively participate in institute research and governance. They set high scholarly standards for ¹ÏÌïºÚÁÏand recruit new academic members. Some Senior Fellows also help oversee ¹ÏÌïºÚÁÏcenters and programs, including the Stanford Center for International Development and the Center on Employment and Economic Growth.
